Alright, wake up everybody! *Bay Area Gathering*

Lets start doing something about this bay area gathering so it doesnt end up being a joke!

Lets first try and decide on some dates.

I would prefer something in the 3rd or 4th week of May. By then weather should be predictable and be nice and warm in the City.

We also need a plan. Maybe a few of you more familiar with the area can make suggestions?

We've already talked about doing something over on Hwy 1 where it runs along the beach. Great place to hang and take pics I think, and some cool places to cruise nearby (I think). We've also talked about doing something with the Golden Gate involved somehow, for pictures and such.

As far as the Golden Gate goes...
I'm thinking of a place we used to go to alot as kids that has a great view (nice drive too!). The "bunkers" on the North side of the GG. You can drive up the hills and there's all these cool old WWII bunkers up there. GREAT picture opportunity with the Golden Gate and the City in the back drop. Also a fun drive. Maybe do that early and then drive back down and across the bridge into the city and over to the Hwy 1 spot at the beach. Park, hang out, pic, eat?, then cruise? Then go home?

I dunno. I'm just writing down thoughts as they come. What do YOU guys think?

I have a suggestion. Would it be possible to move the date to a later weekend in May so that we could do it when school's already out, and not just finishing up? That way people with final projects/papers wouldn't be too stressed for time. But yeah, I like the idea of cruising SF, but I have no idea where to find good "driving" spots around there.

well. my driveshaft went out over the weekend. now its getting rebuilt. it should be done tomarrow. but while my car was sitting i put my 1.5" Jamex lowering springs in. it looks alot better but i havent drivin it yet(because the driveshaft) but i would love to test it out. i cant wait.

I propose we do it on May 26th, or June 2nd. That gives people enough time to save up some gas money (hopefully) and then get some stuff planned, like where to meet and shit. I think it'd be kinda cool to have a convoy going down to the city.

well, it wasnt only my driveshaft, my tranny is going out. it slips alot, and theres alot of metal shavings in the pan. and this tranny only has 2000 miles on it. brand new tranny. oh well. ill be taking it out this weekend and then i have to send it to texas for repair(thats where www.transmissioncenter.net (http://www.transmissioncenter.net) is) so hopefully ill have it back in by the end of may. i really want to go. ill let you know if im going or not

Mine was stolen & striped 4 months ago I got all the parts and put it back togeather all but the steering colum. My problem is the car has no power in drive and it cut off also. (Please help). I really want to make the event. Thats why I posted in this thread.

Yo, i like the idea of cruising highway 1 along the coast line.. maybe we could leave the bay.. cruise highway 1 somewhere.. and stop and like bbq or somethin.. just a though.. im down for it most likely tho

Cruise and BBQ sounds beautiful, but I don't know where anything is around SF, except the GG Bridge, Pac Bell Park, and the airport. So as for good cruising spots, and cool photo op places, I have no idea. But yeah, BBQ sounds cool. We could let master chef Jeremy at the grill again. :p
