On my saturn my dad resently decided to ass hole somebody at about 10 mph. Needles to say i dodnt have a front licence plate anymore. Can i drive around with only a back plate. Ive been doing it for like a week and a half and have had no problems with the police. I dont realy want to buy a new one or go thrue the hassle of putting it on. (have to take bumper off ... yea thats right)

My frend has a 91 vette and dose not have a front plate eather and he hasent had any problems.

if your state requires you have two license plates then you should have them. granted, you might never get stopped but its a reason you can get pulled over. and if you do and get a ticket don't complain. personally, two plates are required in new york but until you give me another reason to pull you over i usually won't.

I believe the law in IL is that you must have both plates on the car if two were issued. I know for a fact that IL issues two plates. So, I guess the answer is YES, you do need a front plate.
