the girl i've been seeing just told me that she has been receiving threatening phone calls from two men who say they are going to kill her. She said they called her last night & said that they wouldnt call her again, but that for the next two weeks, she'd better "look out."
They called her around 3am last night & said they would do something to show her that they werent just fucking around.
At 6am, my friend and I discovered someone hanging in the park. I hope to god that it was a suicide (see my post in the lounge for details on that).
I hope those two events are coincidince, and that these people calling this girl are just trying to scare her. She's 16, BTW.
After she told me about the calls, I convinced her that we needed to tell her parents, so we did. They said they'd get her a new number, but they didnt seem to want to involve the police or anything, not report what was goin on.
While I was on the phone with her just now, she went out on to her porch to get some air & she found a note that said "3/20 - watch it"
She told her mom and I overheard her mom saying something about "it seems strange to me that you were just out on the porch," like her mom didnt believe her & thought she was just making it up.
What my question is, is if there are threatening phone calls & all this shit, what can the police do about it? Even if these people are not serious, is there anything that can be done?
She is on medication for depression among other things & I am really worried that ya know, what if this is all in her head?
I've got a girlfriend who is either in danger of being killed, or who is possibly totally crazy!!! I don't know what to do, but I do beleive her & assuming that she is telling the truth, what can be done about this?
I'm in love with this girl and I know for sure that I just can't stand by and let anything happen to her.
