ok - all i have is a 2 chamber flowmaster and I just got pulled over because the cop said it was too loud... I know the damn thing is legal so I went off on him big time... he ends up saying he's gona give me a ticket for that and not having a front license plate... then he goes back to his car and sits there for like 10 min and leaves - he didn't give me a ticket.. am i gona get it in the mail??? or is he trying to scew me by not actually giving me the ticket and saying he did- so i don't pay it ans get F_cked... I live in Calif. btw

i would have conducted a roadside inspection and made sure you got a ticket for every violation i could find. you should have calmly explained, or asked, what was considered legal.

i have a flowmaster and i don't think it's too loud.

I did first ask what the problem was (nicely) and he said Im giving you a ticket because your exhaust is too loud... then i got pissed

im sorry im slightly hostile to officers... a year ago my dad had a stroke while driving and crashed - the officers assumed he was drunk and messed him up even more when they cuffed him - then threw him in jail - he almost died... I've had many other bad experiences as well... It seems to just be the sherifs in ventura county here... the whole thing with my exhaust was total bs - I was coasting downhill with the clutch in ... the car is about as loud as my minivan while driving like that. He pulled me over because I have a nice car and im only 20. I had my wisdom teeth out yesturday and I had 3 college mid-terms today. SO yes I do feel justified in getting angry

The question I need answered I guess is - should I call the sherifs department to see if I got a ticket?? since he gave me nothing that implied that i got one?? also he asked for my phone number which i thought was weird...

I'd say if you don't get anything in the mail, then you didn't get a ticket.

He may have gotten a more important call, and had to take off. If thats the case.. he may just not ticket you.. or finish it later and mail it your way.

I am a criminal justice major in CA, and someday I hope to join the ranks of LE like the rest of you....That being said, sheriffs in CA are pr*cks. I dont know why, I dont know how. I obviously cant speak for EVERY one out there, but all of them near me (san diego) are. Mabye it's cuz they do their first 2 years in jail? If the officer did not give you a citation to sign, you didnt get a ticket.

I doubt youll get a ticket, i wouldnt worry about it unless it shows up at your house. I was almost pulled over for drag racing once, the cop tryed to pull oif both over, but we went seperate ways, and the cop picked the other car, the cop had my liscense plate number and all, i was in suspense for like two weeks waiting for a ticket to come int he mail or hi m to show up at my house, but found out they dont do that ticket though to mail stuff here in SC...(thank god)
