Expired inspection sticker = Summons

[NYC LSC]

Got me a summons on the Beretta for an overdue inspection sticker (cause I'm a lazy ass http://www.3rdgen.org/ubb/wink.gif) hehe

Now, as soon as I get a parking ticket or any kind of summons, I immediately check for technicalities that I can get off on. Well, I noticed that the ticket doesn't have the VIN# of the car, just the plate, description, place off offense, etc.

Can I get away with not having the VIN# on the ticket?

Probably not since your plates weren't reported stolen. See, the license plate number is an individual identifying number assigned to your specific car. The VIN on the citation would only be redundant.
