View Full Version : I will be eligible for retirement in 6 years!!!!
That's right, I'll be eligible for retirement at the age of 36. http://www.3rdgen.org/ubb/biggrin.gif
TCLEOSE, the Texas licensing agency, is going to credit officers for military service. That means the years I served in the Army will be credited towards my retirement. http://www.3rdgen.org/ubb/biggrin.gif
My wife already told me that she's not going to have a 36 year old retiree sitting around the house all day scratching his butt, so I guess I'm in this job for longer than I thought. LOL

Are you planning to stay on the force after your last 6 years are up, or do you have plans to make a career change?

Oh and stay on as a Reserve Officer so you can get your kicks occasionally without being a REAL officer. http://www.3rdgen.org/ubb/tongue.gif http://www.3rdgen.org/ubb/wink.gif

when i retire i'm going to open up a chain of donut stores and place them in key locations, like across the street from the pd's.
When I retire I'm going to open a landscaping nursery.
I don't know why, but I've always wanted to own a nursery. http://www.3rdgen.org/ubb/smile.gif That's my softer side, I guess.
Anyway, I'll end up staying until I get 30 years in. That way my TMRS benefits will be through the roof.
