become an officer? I think it would be a great experience, and I have applied for a position in my city. I applied two years ago and was turned down. Thought I might try it again.

i was a union meat wrapper/cutter for 5 years therefore $$$ was good. you can only cut chickens/beef/pork so many ways. just thought it was something i would like to do (watched ADAM 12 when i was young, no not on TV land). every day you go to work you dont know what to expect, ie. recently a barricaded guy threatening suicide with a shotgun, a house fire christmas night,etc. if you have no criminal record (its not like on tv where theyll take almost anyone) keep applying/taking test, apply anywhere you can. any college? it might take time but keep trying. good luck.

I tried to become a helicopter mechanic in the Army, but the slots were full. They said they had MP slots open and I thought that sounded cool.
