Well, i put myself into a interesting situation....i recently bought the firebird in my signature, haven't even picked it up from the dealer yet and today I found out my license is suspended for 6 months because i have 12 demerits in a 12 month period *sigh*, I live in Nevada, and I REALLY dont wanna sell my new little baby, but then again it's quite a risk to register the car in my name and drive it around....any help/suggestions from our officer friends would be greatly appriciated....

hire a chauffeur ??? seriously, have someone drive the car home for you and park it in the garage. for the next six months you will see a reminder of what happens when you dont pay attention. lesson learned. drive it with your suspended license? granted you might not get caught but what if you do ? or in an accident ? if this happens you will have to sell the car just to pay for your fines/insurance surcharge, if they will even insure you anymore.

Have it co-signed by one of your parents.
Then have a buddy drive it into your garage. http://www.3rdgen.org/ubb/smile.gif

Well, those are all good suggestions guys, except for the fact that I dont have a garage and I dont know anybody that has one either, I need suggestions more along the lines of "law bending" or other ways to get my license back...

Do you live near another state? Find family in another state, claim residency there, and get a DL in that state. Now, there IS a tricky part to that. It MUST be a state that is NOT part of the Violator Compact Act. I'm not sure what states currently do not subscribe to that, so you'll have to search the web for that info.

I live in Las Vegas, so bakersfield, ca and phoenix/tucson az isn't really too far...but all 3 cali, nv and az are all party of that act i guess, from what i've seen on their websites, they all say
"All 50 states share information on serious violations and license suspensions, revocations, cancellations and denials. No state can issue a license if there is an active suspension or revocation in effect in any other state"

I'd question how old that table is, b/c I know in MA if your licence gets suspended in another state, its supposed to be suspended in MA until its no longer suspended in MA. But I know of people that have had weird things happen in other states but no repercusions (sp?) in MA...

TC, speaking of being licensed in another state, I arrested a man just a few days ago from Dallas, TX who has never had an Oklahoma license. His Texas license was valid, but he had a DUI back in 1992 & insurance tickets in 1993 (all in Oklahoma). The computer showed that he had no Oklahoma license, but was still suspended/revoked in Oklahoma with a setup number.
