What are the laws on reckless driving? Not lon ago I was turing left into my apartment complpex (4 lane road, with crossovers every 1/4 mile) so I had to cross 2 lanes of traffic. It was raining and after I completed my turn a police car followed me down the driveway of the apartment complex with her blue lights on and said that I pulled out infront of someone and they had to hit their brakes and she had to apply her brakes suddenly also. Is that considered reckless driving? I didn't see anyone coming, but I know thats not an excuse. I'm still wondering how she was able to hit her brakes and make that 90 degree turn down a hill into my complex in the rain from 65 miles per hour. Anyway, what I did, is that considered reckless driving?

I think that would fall under careless driving. But laws on things like that vary from state to state.
