I bought an Autotaser, a club-like thing that's got a motion sensor and sends 50,000 volts arcing over itself if set off, but I don't put it on all the time...if I do keep a toolbox in there and a good stereo, does any anti-theft device actually work most of the time? All I hear about is how criminals are dodging anti-theft...I figure cops should know since they see it all the time...thanks for any input.

If the bad guy wants it, he's gonna get it, no matter what. Most security devices will slow them down though and will usually make then go for an easier target. The high visibility devices are the best, such as your club. The "red blinking light in the dash is also effective." I've seen some of the motion detector and perimeter detectors that work well.

Just throw a rattle snake in the back seat and a Cobra in the passanger seat and a cotton mouth in the trunk and maybe a diamond back on the floor board. That'll keep them away http://www.3rdgen.org/ubb/wink.gif

Baron: Most thieves are smart enough to realize that its easier to steal from a car that doesn’t have an alarm, however there are allot of idiots in this world..... something is better than nothing..
an interesting side note, everyone seems to ignore a regular car alarm noise( and the ones that only honk the horn are just a joke) I would suggest using a alarm that sounds different to attract more attention. mine is a Galls siren box.... im not sure if thats really legal or not but it sure as hell lets everyone know that the guy over there leaned on my car.

Just how the hell are you supposed to get back in your car then? Kinda like the comercial where the guy has a guard dog for his car and the dog doesn't recognize him. http://www.3rdgen.org/ubb/biggrin.gif
