I'm looking at this sweet alarm system to get for my jeep, but i figure if it goes off, and i find someone in my car, it doesn't do me any good not to be able to do something about it. Can i pull a gun on someone, or do i just have to call and hope a cop comes in time to do something?

It all depends upon the law in your area. Some states allow the defense of property with force, others do not. In Connecticut you cannot use deadly physical force to protect property.

In general it's not a good idea to approach anyone doing something like that. It's just not worth it, you could put yourself in a posistion to have to kill the person and that would just screw up everything for the rest of your life.

Call the cops, make noise, yell, scream but don't confront.

If I saw someone doing that my instinct would be to call the cops but if its me and him I would have to think about it. I would probably get some aersol can and spray some shit in his face, hopefully make him blind. Other than that probably take a saw or an ax and kill him on the spot. When you have the "fight or flight" adrenalin you don't have time to think.

In Washington if you shoot someone in any area but the front of them, its attempted murder, no matter if they're breaking and entering, killing your dog, stealing your children, eating your wedding cake, etc. etc. ... thats for house rules anywho... protecting stuff outside of your home I'm not too clear on out here... but my thoughts would be to take a bad to their head, wrap their head in a towel, put em in the back of a truck and drop them off somewheres nice... like a ghetto
