Hello Rob this is Joelle. LA's first night was quite interesting. She purred all night long. I don't think she actually stopped until she fell asleep. Around 3:30am she fell off the bed, but she just crawled back up and went to sleep. Then around 6:30am she was making a lot of noise in her kitty litter. She decided to get into the box and scoop all the litter out of it. I woke up around 8 this morning to find the litter all over the floor. I'm guessing she had a pretty good time with it. Josh and I went out and bought an enclosed kittybox, so LA won't make a mess again. She is very affectionate and playful. We tried to introduce her to our dog this morning, but the dog was too excited and kept scaring LA so we had to put her back in my room. Other than that she is doing well. Thank you. I'll let you know later this week how she's doing with our dog.

Ahhhh, that's so cute. Our Phoebe is the same way...purrs constantly even when being teased. When we first got Phoebe, she used to sleep above my head. As she got older and bigger, she then moved down off to the side of me. She now sleeps at my feet but she still continues her one habit when first getting onto the bed. She comes and lies on my chest...and at 10-15 pounds or so, ugghhh. LA, like Phoebe, was always looking for an open lap too. The two could sit for an hour if I let them in my lap.
I'm glad things are going ok. I do hope this works out Joelle...

As a side note...funny story. We just got back from CVS. Upon arrival at the store, I open the car door and all we hear is a cat crying. I thought I ran one over for a sec. Faith looks at me and I at her and we're like..."where's that coming from?" We look over to the entrance and there's a small white kitten crying and pacing before the doors. I looked over at Faith and said, "don't even think about bringing this one home. If they want me, they can find me." Somehow the strays seem to end up on our doorstep. I guess they know a sucker when they see one...

Ahhh, so cute with the ribbon. I bet she was all over that paper while trying to wrap. She's a very affectionate cat so get used to it. All I have to do is sit down and Phoebe is looking for the lap as she knows she'll get attention there. How's the dog situation going? Any better? Faith says you could lose the dog (she's not much of a dog lover if you can't tell)

He is doing fine with our dog now. They are now chasing each other around the house and playing. I really didn't think I'd see that. Also we took LA to the Vet the other day and found out he's a boy. He got his first set of shots and is being nutured on the 16th of January. The doctor said he is a healthy kitten. He had some ear mites and worms, which were taken care of. Happily no flees. My father likes the cat and my mother is beginning to like him too. He told me that we can keep him. So thank you for the kitten. Did you end up taking in that white kitten that showed up on your doorstep? Josh and I laughed about that. Talk to you again later.

The white cat never found its way from CVS to the house but that hasn't stopped Faith from continuing the search. We're laughing at this post and the fact that she's a he. When we look back on how the other cats, mine and the neighbors, reacted to its presence, it makes sense now. Glad it didn't have fleas either but assumed the mites and worms were almost a certainty. How old do they guess LA is?
