Politics are amazing. I'll never go back to retail. I would rather become homeless.

TO make a long story short, a few systems were purchased by a local school district with passwords that wouldn't let them in. I was able to fix all but 1, and we were unable to get parts in for the better part of a month. The manager was aware of this, but choose to do nothing.

That was until Monday or Tuesday when they called and bitched. A big sale probably hinged on fixing those systems fast, but he wouldn't authorize a replacement. I was sure he just wanted the blame firmly placed on someone else if shit came down about it. It turns out that wasnt even that simple.

I just got back from lunch with a friend there that worked in my department. The extent of it and their lies is shocking! The "person" (I use that term lightly for him) who is a tech at another store who is filling in for me was busy badmouthing me all day so I am told. (and can believe it) Saying things like "Look at this, I bet Brian sabatoged it." Quite amazing, considering I thought he was a friend and he owes his job there to me.

It also just so happens that the person they are interviewing to replace me is his friend... Hmmmm... Coincidence?

Well I am finally free from that hell hole and almost certainly from the career stagnation that it brought.

I am sick with a nasty flu since midweek and am probably just going to relax for a week or so. I'll catch up on school and start job hunting after next week.

I was thinking of working part time for a few months while knocking out school and a few certifications. If anyone knows of a under the table part time job let me know.

I'm sorry to hear of your being let go but you knew it was coming eventually. To bad it was just before the holidays and hopefully something will turn up quickly. ...and hope you fell better soon as that sucks as well.

Well I am going out bar hopping with a bunch of friends from work. I'll let you know if anything interesting is said.

Edit: Oh, and lets not forget that the person accusing me of sabatoge stole at least 4-5 laptops from our project with ARC at GM...

Oh I guess I stand corrected, the guy they are hiring to replace me is only the uncle of the guy at North Olmsead, not simply a friend.
