Mike and I decided to get together and do Swenson's with the wives last night. I convinced my buddy Andy to bring out his new 2002 Vette and join us. At first I thought Mike and I mixed signals about where we were going to meet - until I found out his battery died and he had to jump it. So it turns out he was just running late - sorry for the confusion, Mike!
Once we settled in and ordered some food we began talking and decided to exchange cell phone numbers so we could prevent another mis-communication. Mike pulled out his organizer to record my number, but realized the battery had died. Amanda looked for her phone to enter the number, but then realized she had placed it on the charger because the battery was down.
After enjoying the Swenson's grub, gawking at Andy's new wheels and talking for nearly two hours, we packed up and decided to head home - that's when I realized my battery had given up the ghost! Damn thing is only a YEAR OLD! (Needless to say, I'll be running it back for an exchange.) Of course, we could not locate a set of jumper cables, so Andy and Mike went to retrieve a pair while I waited in the parking lot. What a weird string of circumstances!!!
We're keeping our options open for future cruises for grub. If anyone still has insurance and plates and cares to join us on a warm-weather day, just post! <img src="graemlins/thumbsup.gif" border="0" alt="[Thumbs Up]" />
