I just got back from the 7pm showing. Overall the audience liked it.
The early on love parts were starting to get old just before the attack, IMHO. The movie is like 3/4 Titanic (love and tragedy) and 1/4 Saving Private Ryan (blood and fighting).
I, myself, have a interest in WWII planes so it was great to see those planes flying. The only really noticeable non-historic parts are the modern Navy ships that they blow up and the modern aircraft carriers.
Overall 8 1/2 out of 10. It is surely something you want to take the girlfriend to. ;)
