Hello,

My name is Stella Cooper and I am with NEThirdgen.org. A few of the members have requested that I put together a gathering this summer here in Virginia Beach, VA. Since I own a Camaro and Firebird, I wanted to include my local clubs and they most likely will be helping me host this event. I wanted to extend an invite to your group because all generations are welcome. I think this would be a great way for us F-Body fans get to know each other and have a great time. Here is the schedule as it stands now.

July 27-29 in Virginia Beach

Friday, July 27, 2001
Gather for cookout in the evening.

Saturday, July 28, 2001
Test and Tune at Virginia Raceway Park. Our own parking area will be available.
Saturday night cruise to the local cruise spot. Lots of nice cars and a DJ

Sunday, July 29, 2001
All day event at a local park on the beach. Dyno testing will be available at $55 register the day of the event and $45 preregister. There will be a show and shine and beach is available for your significant other. This dyno includes 3 runs on the dyno and top performers in 3-4 classes will recieve a t-shirt.

I have found lodging at a local hotel for $69.00 single occupancy and $79 for double. Believe me, for peak season, it is a good rate. I have called everywhere.

Basically the idea of the event is to enjoy the beach and meet a lot of our Fellow F-body friends.

For more information, please go to my "Virginia Beach Gathering Forum" at www.NEThirdgen.org. (http://www.NEThirdgen.org.) You can email me at stellamountain@mindspring.com. There is also a webpage that will be updated with the latest information. http://www.geocities.com/tmraia/gathering.html

I want to stress, although I am going through www.NEThirdgen.org (http://www.NEThirdgen.org) as my home base, all F-Bodies are invited. If you have an F-body and you want to bring something else that is fine. I will most likely bring my 1970 Monte Carlo, because that is what I have built for speed and want to see how she does. My husband will be bringing the Firebird.

So, if you are looking for a reason to come to the beach, here it is. http://www.3rdgen.org/ubb/smile.gif Please pass this to any local chapters that you think might be interested.

Thanks,
