Camaro door latch

I have another problem already. My door latch broke, and it looks like it is easy 2 take out, but a pain in the A$$ to put back in(because of the rods) Has anybody replaced one of these before? If so could you give me an opinion on how hard these are 2 replace.

Yes Jeff i have reaplced both of my handles on my door inside ones and outside so i have seen almost everything there is on those doors. now to get to the latch that i think you are talkin about you will have to of course pull the interior off the door and you will also have to unscrew the bolts that connect the thin metal covering to the door so you can get at it a hell of alot easier. now you should be able to get to it no prob the window should not be in your way but make sure when you put a new latch in that you penetrate al the moving parts with a penetrating spray other wise when you put it all back together it will toughen and when you try and open your door it will just bend the rod because there is to much resisants just a little tip so you dont have to rip it all out again cause its not teh funnest job in the world.
