Any v6 owners run in the 1/4? I'm curious what mine will run. I have a 2.8 w/5-speed.

With the 5 speed and the bigger gears you'll probably do better than an auto. When i ran the 1/4 all I had done was intake and exhaust and I put up a 17.1. http://www.3rdgen.org/ubb/frown.gif It's been this lack of speed that has really made me think about gettin a 4th gen LT1.

I'm gonna build a 350 for mine. I just got the car(actually won't have it till feb.) and it runs good so I'll keep it stock for awhile.

What were the sizes for teh six? If there was a 3.8 my friends runs the quater 16.11@whatever. Not bad, not bad. He wrote it on the back of his window to tell the world what hes made of.

As for an 84' Mustang, do you think it actually is a real Mustang. HOpefully you know when it says Mustang on it thats all it does, just SAYS Mustang. It has no such image to make it go fast or look cool. A girlfriend will take care of that for ya'. Good luck.

Heck, my 3.8L 'Bird ran a best of 13.5 @ 99.92 the last time I was at the track. http://www.3rdgen.org/ubb/wink.gif Found out afterwards that my FP was set way too high. Other minor bugs to work out too, after the tranny gets rebuilt.

oops! Forgot the sig.
Anyway, if you hadn't guessed, my V6 F-body is a TTA. 2.8s and 3.1s are cool too, if not speedy. http://www.3rdgen.org/ubb/wink.gif

Yeah well... http://www.3rdgen.org/ubb/wink.gif

C'mon guys!
The V6 Formum should be more hoppin' than this. I can't believe that EVERYONE has a dorky V8 F-body!

Oops. I have one of those dorky V8 F-bodies. http://www.3rdgen.org/ubb/biggrin.gif

Sorry to disappoint, but V6 N/A 3rd gens really aren't that interesting. Unless of course someone does a whole buncha shit to it and makes it run 13's or something. But it's sure better than having rice.

Mmm... Gotta love the 89 TTA's. That was the first car I ever learned how to drive an automatic shift kit on... Needless to say, I was 13 or 14 and it was pretty damn cool. Never got to play with the NOS shot, though. I was highly disappointed. http://www.3rdgen.org/ubb/frown.gif

A 17.1 for a V6 auto is better than I would have guessed. I have seen LO3's get shittier times.

Ive got a 6 banger along with my iroc. Honestly i like the 6 better. it gets worse gas milage then the 8 but it is my first car, and it has a stick. I love the stick. I would sell the IROC in a second for one with a stick. the six banger is also fun as hell in the snow. Dont drive the IROC in the snow.

My v6 has great gas mileage. I get about 25 mpg.
