I have a 1992 350 TPI car
My problem is this
If I am hammering on her good (WOT) I get a stop pulling condition at 4500 or so RPMS. The car will not shift nor pull any further than that. Almost like I have hit the rev limiter. If I let off of the gas it will shift and then run up to 4500 or so again and do the same thing. Does no matter if the car is cold or warm still does it.
If I run it up slow it will go all the way to 6K rpms. If I roll into it and do not go WOT from the very begining it does fine.
Does this under WOT only.

Also if this matters it is a 92B4C car. tpi 350 with the 700r4 tranny.
Completely stock setup except for a mild port on the upper and lower intake, a catback and a K&N filter.

Please help

I would agree with 86ZZ4, my Z was doing the same thing. After a new fuel filter it got a lot of power back and shifted right.

fuel filter or pump... try the filter first. if that dosent work, mount a fuel pressure gauge under (or on) the hood where you can see it while driving, then watch the pressure as you drive it.
