I started out with a 89 RS w/ 305 tbi now replaced with a 383 TPI. I can not get it to run. The fuel injectors are not injecting. I know it must be a problem with the wiring harness. what would be causing this, could it be the computer? Also I am not getting spark, I can get spark using a dummy wire. Everything is properly grounded. I do have a lot of stuff that is not hooked up but I'm pretty sure that it is all emmissions stuff. I do not have any emmissions accesories. I removed them all. Where I live emmissions tests are not.
Anyone please help me, please.
Mechanical stuff is easy. Electrical sucks.
required.

Did you change the computer when you went to TPI? I know a guy who tried to use the TBI computer and it ran like ass. If you need a computer I believe I have two extra laying in my uncles garage. You would want to buy a chip from Jet or somewhere just for the chip that way you would get your best performance. They will ask what all the engine has. Hope this helps.

I did switch computers, it's made for a TPI system.

I'm assuming all the TPI parts you bought are used... are you sure the injectors and distributor work? If possible try some other injectors and see if they work. From what I have seen, when people swap to TPI and can't get it running, alot of the times the injectors the setup came with are junk.
Did you change the fuel pump? Are you getting fuel pressure?

Is there a way to check injectors?
And yes I did replace the fuel pump, and I have fuel pressure.

I'm not sure, I'm a carb guy
If you haven't done so already, you should post this on the TPI forum at www.thirdgen.org , they might have more ideas for you.
