i have an 89 trans am gta, 35,000 original miles. slp runners, edelbrock intake, accel ignition, edelbrock 1000 cfm throttle body. but i feel as though i have lost power more than anything since doin the work on this...expecially at high rpm's..does anyone think the need for headers, adjustable fuel pressure regulator and bigger injectors are the answer to my problems? if anyone has any ideas pllllease help

I don't know much about fuel injection but you would definately benefit from headers. you are getting plenty of air and fuel in, now you have to get the exhaust out.

well, i was kind of thinkin that i only have stock injectors in there still that maybe i'm gettin too much air and not enough fuel..so with the combo of the adjustable fuel pressure reg. and the injectors, the ratio of air/fuel may even out a bit..but full length headers is def. on my list to get..1 5/8 3inch

That edelbrock 1000 cfm throttle body is way to big for your motor. Untill you get some really good flowing heads and a really big cam on it you do not need that much.

I agree with Z-gost that throttle body is much too big. You will not loose any horsepower by having a throttle body that big but you will loose throttle responce which will make the car not as responcive to throttle controls.
