hey guys, what would be a good first mod? Im only 16, and dont have unlimited money, so I was just wondering. i was thinking cam or cutout,or even a new intake. Any suggestions?<br />Chris

anything simple just as a k&n high flow air filter, go for cold air induction. or do a new cat-back exhaust system, my car sounds completely different after I did that...alot better..and I felt the horsepower increase.

Any suggestions?<br />Chris</strong><hr></blockquote>mt first mod was a hyper tech. thermo master chip, and a 160 degree stat i got a chirp out of second gear just with the chip, i could feel a difference under wide open throttle (i think the chip is stock under normal driving conditions , you can feel it when you mash the throttle)plus it turns your fans on at a lower temp. to keep your car cool. my car never get's above 180 now.air foils are pretty cheap .i didn't catch what kind of car you had 305/350 tpi ? camaro/ta. a cat back will definatlly help. there are free mods to depending on what car you have. i have an 89 gta 350<br />hope this helps<br />Roger

I would agree with reefer that a K&N high flow air filter would be a good first mod. Another one would be a Flowmaster muffler. <img src="graemlins/headbang.gif" border="0" alt="[Head Bang]" />

Get something other than flowmaster if you actually want a bit of performance <img src="wink.gif" border="0">
