My buddy has a 85 camaro when he bought it it had a 87 305 TPI set up. It ran good until he blow up the motor. Now he bought a 350 TPI out of a 89 T/A. He wants to know what he has to do to make work? Can he use all of his old accessories and wire harnes ? He thinks if he changes the fuel injecton and puts the 305 on the 350 it will run too lean. Can he use all of his old stuff and just change the injectors and fuel reg or does he have to change the PCM? Is the old one OK to use?

May have to change the chip may not
depends on how radical the 350 is
Use all the old stuff and get an adjustable fuel pressure regulator if he can not afford bigger injectors
He should be fine

I put an 89 350(383) TPI set up in my 87 Z28 305 TPI. Haven't changed anything, I'm running the 350 TPI set up with no difficulty, tho adjustable fuel pressure regulator is on the list, along with another chip.
But for every day drive around, non-racing, he should be OK.

Just remenber 1987 tpi cold start injector and the 1989 NO cold start injector. This has a bearing on what chip you need.
