I pulled apart my air intake today, just the filter and so on. I was looking at the way it was designed and decided i was going to try some different things... so i pulled the air filter out of the thng it's in and there is this senson sticking in to the compartment the air filfer was in, but on the outside of the filter. What is it and is there some other place I can put it so that i don't have to use the compartment it came in. I took out the bootom part, set the filter doen, then screwed in the lid and then attached the "arm" that goes to the throttle body. The senson is just laying next to the filter, but the car stalled a few times. Can I do this? Waht if i put a K & N on, where would the sonsor go? The car is a '90 3.1L FI.<br />Thanks,<br />Steve
