3rd Gen Air Cleaner Assembly for LT1 in 86 IROC

94 LT1 Motor and 4l60e trans

It's all in there. Mechanic says that the stock air cleaner assembly won't fit the LT1. Is this true??

no... I would think it would mount up...

No, it won't work. The LT1 uses a larger maf sensor than the older tpi. If the old engine was a carb or tbi then the air filter would be in the wrong place anyway.
