Hi,
This is my first post here. I just purchased a '91 Z-28 with a TPI 350 and 700R4. It also has K&N Filters, gutted cats and an aftermarket cat-back exhaust system. My question is which performance mods and brands will work best for my car? I'm thinking of starting with a B&M Transpak and SLP Headers.
Thanks

Sounds like you are on the right track. Headers really help wake up a TPI motor, and Shift Kits are fun, although induce more wear on the trans.
Also, do some more free mods. Bump your timing up to 8*, Put a quarter in your FPR, and port out your plenum. It works... http://www.3rdgen.org/ubb/smile.gif

Put a quarter in it? Like just stuff it in and leave it to raise the fuel pressure? But not doing all the work in making it adjustable?
roflmao!!! And I thought I did some ghetto mechanics. HA HA HA!!! Sorry, I bet that would actually work, but damn, it just sounds funny.

Thanks Newsance! I've been following the Magnum TPI build-up in GM High-Tech Performance Magazine and read some about the plenum porting. I've never heard of putting a quarter in the FPR. That's a new one. In regards to timing, if you go with an aftermarket chip is it still OK to bump the timing? What's your opinion on chips? Best ones? Worst ones? Thanks

I would stay away from aftermarket chips.. All they seem to do is bump timing way up. and you can't use them with other mods...
I would save your money if you are wanting to go really fast...
