Looking for power...

I know i am gonna get flamed, but i cant find a ford board, so i will post here. I have a 1990 F-150 w/ a 302, stock and i want to power up. Will a tune up and new plugs wires etc help really significantly? Also what else can i do for really cheap besides a K&N filter to really boost out put? I mean really cheap but all suggestions and help are appreciated. That said have pity and flame away.

A tune up will help you more than just a K&N Filter. Do a comeplete tune up with a good set of wires,plugs, cap/rotor, pcv valve, change your oil/filter and put in a can of RESTORE. Make sure you check the timing, you might be able to increase your timing some.
