3.73 is an excellant ratio if you don't speed on the freeway. i have 4.11s and they are 'a bit' too short for my liking...
3.42 is excellant. 3.73 is perfect if you do about 70 on the freeway or do a bunch of driving around town..

I have 3.73's in my 84TA. They are a bit to mcuh for me i would like to go to a 3.42 or around abouts. on the highway the 3.73 just takes to much gas, i like to go around 80-85, i know thats speeding but oh well.

i am about to put 3.42's from a 4th gen in my car with slp posi so it should kick ass over my 2.73 just like they said abovego with 3.42's or 3.73's. the reason i went with 3.42;s is the all mighty dollar i found them on camaroz28.com for cheap so i bought em..installation is expensive for some people but the most expensive part for me is the posi at 100 bills... good luck

3.42 through 3.55 out back...anything numerically higher is just blowing away the tires.

I have 3.27s and they work great...not to much spin, but i plan on doing 3.42s...good all around gear ratio for city and highway

I think mine ar5e 2.73, are they good, or are they just an average all around gear.

2.73s are the stock "highway" gears--higher top speed with lower RPMs, good on gas, slow off the line.
