I have definatly decided to go with SLP for the headers and exaust. Now, will the 1/ 3/4 give me an advantage over the 1 5/8? I have a 305 E code in the car. Currently, it is running a stock exaust. Should I buy dual Cat's for it or stick with a single? I looked at the standard setup on the rack the other day and the car is currently running single cat and exaust split into dual. Help me here one more time guys! I want to get the King Kamaha exaust set up for the car. Got the dollars to spend so bring on the recommedations.

I would get the 1 5/8 and a good quality high flow single cat. Like a RANDOM TECHNOLOGIES.
My TA is a factory dual cat though and it gave the car 10 more HP stock according to GM so...

Rottie,
Check with the local laws I know here someone tried to get dual cats put on his car and the guys at the shop said he couldnt because the cats wouldnt heat up high enough to trap all of the exhaust so he would only dual out the exhaust from muffler back. I would say go with a nice 3" system all the way back, but that is my opinion on the subject keep us informed.

That's wierd....what if his car was already a dual cat. Two cats for a dual setup is cheaper than a single so that was probably the shops reasoning http://www.3rdgen.org/ubb/biggrin.gif Then again some states do have wierd emissions laws.

Go with the 1 5/8's and stick with the single cat. Unless you are planning major mods, which you said you're not, the 1 3/4 and two cat or any combo would just be overkill.
