The frame mounts will be enough to support the engine, however, I am not sure if they are in the same place. That you would need to check, as I doubt that they would be.
How are you going to deliver fuel to the V8? remember that the stock fuel pump output is in the ballpark of 40 psi, which will immediately flood the carb. You can regulate it down to a carb friendly pressure, but this is not the best solution, as you can expect to have leaks at the regulator.
It is best to swap the stock pump with a carb specific electric pump, and run new lines from the tank to the pump.
That is really the only tricky part about setting up the carbed V8, after swapping it in. An old style vacuum advaance HEI unit is needed, and all you have to do is feed it power. Then you got everything you need to get it running.
Oops. I forgot you are going from a 6 to an 8. I still have yet to hear definitively if the chevy 6 mates up to the same transmission as the 8. You need to check this, the worst case would be to swap in a new transmission as well, which isn't that big of a deal if you are yanking the engine as well.
If this is bolting into a V6 T5 transmission, I would strongly reccomend upgrading, or driving that car with mega granny shifts until you do.

No, I believe the bellhousing and input shaft are both different between the v6 and the v8 transmissions..
So you'll need a v8 transmission as well.. but it's a good time to upgrade anyways, because there's no way the v6 T5 would live behind a healthy v8 for very long anyways.. I wouldn't think anyways.. doesn't matter, because it won't bolt up anyways http://www.3rdgen.org/ubb/smile.gif

You will have to get new mounts and move them too. There should be holes already there for a V8,so I was told for all Camaros,my berl had extra holes.I had an '84 Berlinetta that I swapped out a carbed V6 to a 400sb and used a turbo 350 trans, though later I found out that I coud have used the overdrive trnas that was in it already.I had to upgrade the radiator, motor mounts(old ones went bad due to torque of V8)fuel pump and a couple other things I can't remember.

You will have to unbolt the engine mounts and move them forward one set of holes on the crossmember. (not a fun job) When you do this, you will have to move the front hard brake line that is bolted to the crossmember to a better location, as it sits right where you have to bolt the new mounts to. (not all that hard) If you are going to carb, you will need to figure out how you want to work the fuel pump problem as stated earlier. The electric pump you have now will put out way too much pressure and burn itself out when used with a carb. If the 86 T/A is carb already, steal the tank and lines from it and you will be all set.
Good luck
