New guy to 3rd gen, looks like a promising site, was referred here for information.
Have an 85 305 Iroc, got some basic Hot rodding done to it;
.030 over, forged pistons, 10.5:1 compression, balenced/blueprinted, mild ported, deshrouded, stock heads, comp 272(adv.) .520 lift cam, 24# injectors, stock TPI, and some shorty headers.
My problem is, it runs erratically. It surges at idle, recently ran hot(cracked head) and I have noticed it runs from lean to rich on my Solus Pro(doesn't give ratio) and I am looking to update the computer(module) to an 89? one. That's what i was told anyway.
From my internet searches I have learned the 85/86s were the basterd step childs, the stock operating system cannot keep up.
Any hints, help, or suggestions would sure be welcome!
If I need a wiring harness can you suggest a supplier?

I have also done the C-5 brake conversion on this car if anyone would like pictures, parts list, and bracket print for the abutment mounts.
