Alright, I'm new to the Berlinetta. Actually, I don't even have it yet. I go tomorrow to trade a 1995 Jeep Grand Cherokee for a 1985 Camaro Berlinetta (T-tops and 305 V8). It comes with the original tape player in it, and I was wondering:
1. Is it possible to put in a cd player without tearing the shit out of the dash (No wires hanging out, no cut marks).
2. What is best kind of CD player, but is also cheep.
and
3. Where can I get the CD player?

Thanks for your help,
IXI Jesus IXI

It is very easy to replace your factory radio, if you go to your local futureshop and buy the dash kit and harness it will give you the very easy step by step instructions to pull your radio apart.
but if you want to see beforehand your radio bezel just unclips and 4 screws holder inplace, depth is and issue in these cars so make sure you get the dash kit.
as for a new radio any car audio shop will do, but if moneys an issue look for an open box at futurecrap and you should be good.
Good brands are as fallows;
Alpine, Kenwood, pioneer are some of the leaders
clarion jvc sony etc can be garbage, they do make good models but only in the high end.
kenwood is an all around good brand weather its 99.00 special or the 1000.00 monster
hopefully that helps ya buddy
