Last year around this time I added some pictures to the Solon thread of a carshow slash airshow; very cool combo.

The time has come again, next Friday through Sunday, http://www.usaviationmuseum.org/ I'll pick up a local paper to check about the free admission with a car such as ours but I'm sure it'll be the same. Got nothin' to do next weekend, check it out. Come early and beat the airshow crowd (hint, no one to spoil your shots). Bring some extra dough (or credit card) and take a flight aboard the Stinson (my choice last year, 60 bucks), a B17 or a B25 (if I remember, 3-400 bucks for about 30 minutes). I don't remember the B24, 'Diamond Lil', taking riders last year.

awesome... if I can find a baby sitter The wife and I might go. Depending on if the in-laws are still here.
Not sure what day they are leaving.

I got called into work at 5 AM this morning so it looks like tomorrow I'll be at the airshow. Seen the B17 flying around Mentor and the Stinson buzzed Fairport a number of times

What a great weekend for the show. The weather was ideal though yesterday a little windy for flying talking with some of the pilots. My flight on the 1943 Stinson was again memorable. Next year I promised myself to fly on the B17.

The stars of the show, of course the B17 and B25

Every year I go up in a 1943 Stinson. This year the pilot showed off with aerobatics out over the lake as he had a pilot in training on the flight. What a rush! The town of Fairport from 3000 feet.

The lighthouse doesn't look nearly as tall from that altitude :D

Took some time to edit the photos. I had over 450 and 12 videos to go through. Two of my neighbors while at the show. Needless to say, the Diablo caused as much stir when it pulled in (late) as the planes.
