not worth my time generally when u ask people for help... You dont curse them out when they provide you answers... as for racing on the strip... ehh i prefer mountain roads, leaves more to chance.

go into that site i gave u.. and look up thirdgens with big blocks in them... its a tall deck big block.. first off though learn how to drive a stock camaro.. the 305 is enough for when ur young.. the 572 crate will shred that car into pieces,, plus its 14k for the motor... and i took a guess at the 14 yr old thing... aim for a 300hp 350... people will take u seriously...

i know im 14 and all, but the thing is ive driven my dads 82 berlinetta with a supercharged 454 and after driving it for the good part of a day it felt like it wasnt enough. i know theres like a good 115 to 150 more horses in the 572 but i want something that everytime i drive it, it will scare the hell out of me but still i'll be able to handle it. and i have a good amount of money stored away and im selling my old snowmobile for 1,500 and that will leave more than enough for the fully assembled crate

and what can i do to keep the car straight. i mean i know i have to weld on some frame connectors and clean up the K rail or buy a new one. but what else can cause a problem

its a unibody.. think of every point on the car that can flex and well it will happen.. and 620-720 horses is hard to control for exprienced drivers,, especially when something happens thats unexpected.. IE Airborne,, thats what killed me, kinda hard to steer when you cant keep the tires on the ground.
I would build up the rest of the car first.. but then again that 572 in the hands of a young kid could mean you killing some family in their caravan/windstar. If your looking to be scared by it, dont buy it. thats a drag race motor anyway.. Its not meant for a street car/ daily driver.. and noone will insure a 16 year old with a 700 hp car

the street version of the 572 crate motor does not put out more power then a supercharged 454. however the 572 does cost about twice the money.
So your dad owns a BBC powered 3rdgen and you're not sure if a BBC will fit in yours.
Go away.
I gotta agree with Cotterpin, the only reason you need an engine that big is if your looking to have a quick death. Besides, an engine that big is a money pit, one reason its used in drag is cause they cost so much to rebuild and racers can afford it, and they need to be rebuilt every so many miles. And if its cause you dont want to lose any races on the street...I had a 85 Camaro with a 350 bored 0.30 with some other mods pushin 410 hp, and I never seen anyone I raced except in my rerview mirror. And the way things are goin with oil, just get a crate 350 pushin 350 to 400 hp for $5,000...and use the other $10,000 on gas for the first month.
