dumb question

so i am in the proses of redoing a lot on my 91 z28 but i am trying to pul the dash out so that i can put all my new gauges and wiring in it. but anyway i can seem to figure out how to get the headlight switch out so that i can get the trim around the gauge cluster out. if anyone would be kind enough to tell me the secrut to my stupidty i would appriciat it.

From Alldata:

Open screw covers, then remove knee bolster attaching screws and knee bolster.
From under instrument panel, depress release button on light switch, then remove switch knob and shaft assembly from switch.
Remove instrument cluster trim plate, then remove switch retaining nut.
Lower switch and disconnect electrical connector, then remove switch.
Reverse procedure to install.
