hi everybody!
this is my first post here. i was told this is the place for people with 3rd gens and that everyone here is pretty knowledgable about these cars.
hopefully you guys can help me out......

i have an 89 gta and i put in a new powdercoated tpi system. the car already had a tpi in it, the new one was just powdercoated. it's from an 88 t/a.
the car ran just fine before i did the swap. i hooked everything up (to the best of my knowledge) and plugged the cold start hole in the runner. i also plugged the cold start area in the back of the plenum.
now the car will run for about 3 seconds and then shut off.
i've gone back to double checked everything that i can think of, but no luck yet.
obviously i'm missing something :banghead:

can you guys help me out?
thanks.

You are thinking of thirdgen.org for tech info. This is just a screw off site. Sounds like a timming issue or a vaccume leak though. Leaning more towards a vaccum leak, either at the runners or an emissions line. Backtrack all of your lines and double check that they are all hooked up (no loose ends) then go over every line and make sure none of the lines are broken or cracked.
