Finally someone with the courage to call out this admininstration's lies!

Obama, speaking at a massive outdoor rally in Austin, Texas, said British Prime Minister Tony Blair's decision this week to withdraw 1,600 troops is a recognition that Iraq's problems can't be solved militarily.

"Now if Tony Blair can understand that, then why can't George Bush and Dick Cheney understand that?" Obama asked thousands of supporters who gathered in the rain to hear him. "In fact, Dick Cheney said this is all part of the plan (and) it was a good thing that Tony Blair was withdrawing, even as the administration is preparing to put 20,000 more of our young men and women in.

"Now, keep in mind, this is the same guy that said we'd be greeted as liberators, the same guy that said that we're in the last throes. I'm sure he forecast sun today," Obama said to laughter from supporters holding campaign signs over their heads to keep dry. "When Dick Cheney says it's a good thing, you know that you've probably got some big problems."

Talk about a breath of fresh air! Its nice to see someone not be politically correct when trying to take on our nation's problems.

I will concede that it is a good thing that Obama is running. By throwing his hat in the ring, he is going to split the Democratic Party in two, thus helping the Republicans.

I am an independent, I would vote for any democrat who would actually come up with an idea instead of just complaining about the status quo. The problem is, you don’t hear any strong democrats doing so, because they are afraid of the leadership like Queen Pelossi and Ted Kennedy. What you do hear is "a new direction”,” a better tomorrow" but no measurable specific ideas.

I will also say I am happy that our current President is willing to go after all threats so we don't have to face them here. Bill Clinton just lobbed a few cruise missiles into Afghanistan after the USS Cole bombing, but not before alerting Pakistan thus prompting the terrorists to leave the area. Under Clintons watch the CIA was directed to back down while Bin Laden was in their crosshairs over concerns of political fallout.

The democrats are afraid to "pull the trigger". If they are so anti-Iraq, then why don’t they vote with a binding resolution to end funding? Because again, they are afraid of the political fall out. Instead they would rather propose a non-binding resolution, which does nothing but show the terrorists they have succeeded in dividing this nation.

Terrorists want a democrat to win - think about it.

now, if only we can split up the republicans... and make something other then a two party system... we're getting closer to that.

I wanna vote just to help make either the Black Guy or the Woman win. Gotta make history somehow, and no matter who we vote for, I'm sure they'll fuck up anyhow... :)
