Well went to the mx track this morning and did some rideing. When I got back I got into stripping the camaro down. I got most of the front end off all hardware bagged and labeled. Then I got into the inside of the car and started takeing out the interior. Seats, dash, carpet, center consouel, door panels, all plastic trim, and all the plastic panels.
I ordered my roll cage last night and some auto meter gauges. I also picked up a 400 sb and a 350 with 4 bolt mains yesterday from a friend. Im about to start pulling those engines down here in about 30 mins and see how they look. I may end up building the 400 since I havent built one before.
Can we still order parts such as trim, weather stripping, and door seals and the like from gm? This car will end up with most of the interior gone and I may put carpet back in it but not sure on that. The dash is in good shape but the top dash pad is shot and I will need another. I could make a fiberglass replacement for the top of the dash if I cant find another dash pad.
I am also going with a carbed engine instead of messing with fuel injection this time so I need to find out what else the ecm controls besides the engine and all that. Im doing away with everything I dont need. The car is a 92 rs 305 with a 5 speed so any information you guys have about any of the above would be appreciated.
