Question for ya about the city of parma heights. Do you happen to have a shed in your backyard? Im looking at putting one up behind the garage but the city is stating that i need to pour a 4" thick reinforced pad down first. Seems a little excessive to me for just a storage shed. Do you know if there is any flexibility with this?

No I dont have a shed but I am planning on putting one up this year. I will just put it up and not worry about the city for a permit. 4 inchs seems a little excessive to me also. Its not like your parking a truck in the shed. I think they would be more concerned about the guy behind me that built one that is about 12 foot tall. I know none of my neighbors will bitch the city about me putting up a shed so the city isnt a concern. I have done a bunch of stuff around here with out permits like installed a new AC system--furnace--and a new roof on my garage. The only thing that had a permit is when I had a fence put up but the contractor did all that. Thats one thing I didnt want to takle myself
