So im stuck...I want to modify my engine and want to change from tbi to carb but i dont know what to do with the emissions...dunno what to do now...open for all suggestions.. currently have a v8 305 tbi engine...have had it rebuilt and has been bored over but dunno how much...need some help pleez!!!

There is not really a lot of emissions suff on a tbi car. Air tubes on the manifolds, evap canister, and EGR are the only things that come to mind. You will need the manifold and carb (of course) and a mechanical/vaccum operated distributer (if I am not mistaken). I removed all of the emissions, swapped in a modified 350 and I am still using the TBI, just need a custom chip burned (cost about the same as a decent carb/manifold).

But honestly, the only things you really need are the brake booster vaccum, the heater/ac vaccum, the vaccum ball (under the drivers front fender), and the PVC vaccum, and depending on which transmissiion you have there may be a vacuum line here also. Just cap everything else off. The you will need a throttle spring to pull the accelerator back, and may need to modify (buy a kit) to attach the accelerator cable to the carb. Dont forget you will need some way get a choke to work (electric or mechanical).
