Put a new head unit in my Hemi

Yeah. It's not a 3rdGen Camaro/Firebird . . . but it is a 3rdGen Ram. :shrug:

Anywho . . . I wanted something cheap and easy to replace so I went to Target and spent $79.99 on a VRCD500-SDU.
The thing I wanted the most was the USB port.
It's great.
I can dump a bunch of shit onto my 1Gig thumb drive and pop it into the front panel and cruise.
It has an SD slot too.
I've got a 1Gig SD card somewhere at the house so I can do that too . . .

If it breaks in 3 months then I'm out $80 and an hour of my life . . .

The fugging head unit won't play off of my thumbdrive or SD card anymore.

I've called the manufacturer and notified them of my radio failure.

They are going to send me a new head unit and postage to ship the bad one back to them.

I'm not sure what to think yet . . . they've been really helpful and nice. :eek3:

Update: the manufacturer sent me a brand new head unit about 2-3 days before Christmas.
I installed it and I haven't had any problems since.
Pretty good warranty turn around.
I'm using my SD slot more that anything now.
I've got a 2Gigger card and it currently has 309 songs on it.

I can't wait until 4Gig cards get cheaper . . .

Damn! That is sweet!!

My unit is still going strong.
I've got my 2GB card FULL of music for the road.
It just doesn't seemt o be enough though . . . I want a 4GB SD card!!

I got the Sony head unit thats in my Jeep for $140 at circuit city. It's great. I don't like to bother with the cheap crap since it's gonna be breaking soon anyway. Plus I added on built in Sirius, so it's even better now!
