My 85 Trans Am has all of a sudden started making a weird rubbing sound while turning, and it seems to be worse at lower speeds, I got underneath and had a peak and saw nothing abnormal except some dark grease around the rear end gasket... anyone heard on anything please!!!

Its a 3.23 open... and as quickly as the noise came that one night... it was almost gone the next morning and haven't heard a peep since i got to work that day...

check the sway bar end links, i broke one a few months ago on the driver side and everytime i would make a turn the tire would rub.

there are no gears on it. it's a 3-series, so it's good for 3.23 and up.

What do you want for it.

It's the stock style GM posi/locker thing that they put in truck axles. I pulled it out of an '88 GMC S-10 Blazer 4x4. It's been sitting in my room for about 8 months. I don't know for sure what kind of condition it's in or even that it works, other than it visually looks good. shipping to MN is probably gonna be about $20, so i'll ask $60 shipped.
