==========
Car, (1983 Z28 Camaro), randomly doesnt start one day
get car jumped
does it again later that same day
get battery completely recharged and put in a new alternator, car starts
BUT
The batt. meter shows around 11 or 12 amps(way too low for a fully charged batt. in the first place. ALSO when I hit the gas, the meter climbs up to about 14 or 15 amps
THEN if I turn on the heater, it drops back down to about 12amps
SO I went and replaced some cables running to the alternator, so they are brand new,STILL does the same thing.
NOW I bought a brand new battery, put that in...and STILL, it does the same thing.
I REALLY need any/all feedback from any/every one on this, because I don't know when my car just won't start again, and I need my car to get to work.
THANK YOU SO MUCH!!

*THINGS TO ALSO CONCIDER:
-I did an alternator test, by disconnecting the neg. cable on the battery, after I had started the car(while the old batt. was in) and the car died.
-I did that exact same thing with the new battery, and the car kept running.
(bad battery perhaps??then again, even with the new battery, I still have the same issue)
