I must confess it has been awhile since I have visited this BBs (In fact this is a new useriD for me). I am somewhat confused. I remember this BBs as having an exhaustive list of technical topics read by the most technically proficient group of members it has been my pleasure to meet. I hope there are still many intelligent technically competent people reading this BBs.
The situation which lead to my coming here now is that I am getting started to rebuild an engine. The machine shop work is completed. I need to buy a ring compressor, and would like suggestions as to which style is best. Also, should I lubricate ither the bores, or the rings to protect them at initial start up?
