Is that better than this one: http://configure.us.dell.com/dellstore/config.aspx?c=us&cs=19&l=en&oc=iB130S1&s=dhs
The dell has a 15.4" screen and a 1.5ghz Intel processor, otherwise it looks similar.
They're pretty much the same except for the larger Dell screen.
I would go with the Dell if I had to choose between the two.

I would say go with the dell.
I can do 'warranty' work on the dell if by some act of god the spilled beverage on the keyboard brings out a manufacture’s defect.

really? my sis in laws shit wont charge, its like 6 months old.. although i havent looked at it but i think the power supply died...So does the power supply actually fire up the laptop? If so, it may be something internal like the charging circuitry.
You could always pick up a universal charger from eBay. They're like $20 bucks. Even if it turns out that the power supply wasn't the problem you can have an extra unit to keep where needed. This is assuming you get laptop repaired.
Here's a bunch of Dell universal chargers:

I keep one in my apartment, car, office, and laptop bag. I also have a straight DC-to-DC charger that I use in my van, so I don't need to use a power inverter.
EDIT: If you guys have a Fry's nearby just pick up one from there. If it turns out it's not the power supply you could return it.
