basically i'm just testing the waters because i found an EXTREMELY enticing deal that i would much like to take advantage of. i would need this car gone to pay for the other one.
this car just underwent a restoration completed March '06. it's SUPER clean, the main things i can think of to make it nicer are a new dash, have the rear seats re-dyed (the sun faded the black portions) and that's about it. my dad and i repainted the ENTIRE car. there was one very small scratch that was put on the passenger door from the buffer we were using. it's hardly noticible at all. i guess that's what happens when you paint a car in your garage
if you have questions, ask. it has 91,xxx original miles, it is an all original 305 TPI/700R4 IROC-Z coupe.

price is firm, if you dont like it, go buy a non-restored 3rd gen ;)
$7,000
if you want more pics or have questions pertaining to the car, just ask. my AIM name is Th3rdGen On ZR1s feel free to ask, cuz i know i am missing lots of things

p.s. the car is getting a tune up this weekend along with window tint :gaysex:

if that's your opinion that's just dandy. i'm just putting new plugs and wires on it, i didn't realize that without new plugs and wires a restoration isn't complete? meh...whatever. i'm mostly doing it for looks anyways, get some nice looking wires in there

please dont post in my thread unless your interested in my car, thanks

p.s. it runs great and handles on rails

also one more thing....

there's REBUILDS and there are RESTORATIONS...

i did a restoration. it didn't need a rebuild, it only has 91,xxx original miles and has had new injectors and i BELIEVE a new alternator put on it in the last 6 months

here's a thread i made about this car on another site. i wanted to show off my "backyard resto"

"i wanted to go through the car's history as i know it, so here goes ...it was a 2 month restoration job :smt079 :
January '06, my dad and i spotted the car up the street at a guy's house. he bought it from a family member to help pay the bills. he didn't really need the car so we talked to him about buying it from him, turns out he would let it go for really cheap. we bought the car for $1,300 after he had already installed new shocks, and various mechanical parts under the hood.
she was pretty rough when we got her, the clear coat was missing on most of the car, and there were huge dents on the fenders. the front bumper was a complete loss, so we knew we would have to buy a new one. it also featured the AutoZone special edition Type R floor mats, and no headliner, along with ripped up driver seat.
http://i37.photobucket.com/albums/e99/bluezee28/Iroc-Z/iroc1.jpg
http://i37.photobucket.com/albums/e99/bluezee28/Iroc-Z/iroc2.jpg
http://i37.photobucket.com/albums/e99/bluezee28/Iroc-Z/iroc3.jpg

http://i37.photobucket.com/albums/e99/bluezee28/Iroc-Z/DSCF0019.jpg
so first order of business was the interior. had the headliner redone, and had new fabric put on the driver seat. and got some old floor mats from my mom's old '01 Monte Carlo SS.
http://i37.photobucket.com/albums/e99/bluezee28/Iroc-Z/DSCF0035.jpg
http://i37.photobucket.com/albums/e99/bluezee28/Iroc-Z/DSCF0037.jpg
then we ordered the new fenders from Certi-Fit. a pretty good fit for the price. i believe they were only $40 per fender! 8|
we also bought a new front chin spoiler from ebay and had that put on

http://i37.photobucket.com/albums/e99/bluezee28/Iroc-Z/bodyshop4.jpg
so after the fenders and front spoiler were put on, we took the car back to our house and began prep work for the new paint job  we painted the whole car in our own garage at home :green: this includes in the door jams, under the hood, and behind the tail lights also. the next few pictures were taken during the prep/painting process :green:

not bad for a back yard job, and good work on your masking, i think what illwood is trying to say is, yeah it is nice, and you did a lot of work to it, but as it is simply a STOCK 305 TPI IROC-Z , you're not going to see 7000 for it, it is not really rare yet , and they can be had for around 2-3 grand in decent shape, now if i had some decent cash lying around, i might grab it, but i am not a camaro guy, i like the birds better, i know you worked hard on the car, but getting 7g for it is not going to be easy. not trying to bash you kid, just stating what i am seeing as a recent price trend for 3rd gens.

true it is stock, but also the fact that it's 100% original and unmolested with only exception to a cat back exhaust system. sure you can find one for $2,000-3,000 but it's not going to be near as nice as this one. i've got numerous people who can vouche for the condition of the car.

thanks for the free bumps though :gaysex:

also, i've already had an offer for $6,300 but i'm going to be very patient until i reach $7,000 :bravo:

can anyone beat $6,300? that's my best offer thus far. i need the money quick so i will retract my asking price if it looks like nobody is going to bite.
