Just got an 85 Berly with the stereo "pod". Anyone have a source for a retro kit so I can put a standard unit in the car.
Any help would be great.

don't...
it's unique to the car, I added a amp, equalizer and some other shit and my stereo sounds just fine...

i was thinking the same questions so i ended up putting a 10 disc changer in the trunk, along with a sub so i can play cds and keep the factory radio. it sounds great IMO.

My berly doesn't have all the fancy digital stuff. IIRC they started in 84 with digi, mines an 83.

A standard consoul will fit in the car with a little help from a dremel unit. Put a sleeve into the spot in the consoul for the ac/heat controls. Works out pretty well. My original stereo burned out years ago.
