Dude...what are you talking about? If you just want something powered off the deck, the biggest you can go is a decent set of 6X9's...even the smallest sub (8") would sound horrible, or so quiet you couldn't hear it.

The main problem with running things off the deck is the power supply interferes with how clean the sound is, no power supply = teh cleanest sound...of course you've gotta have the RCA's to back that up, but

yeah. Without an amp you're stuck with limited options.

I hear that. Here's a few solutions and what I did in my thirdgen/fourthgen:

Install your amps in a location that isn't obvious to the naked eye. Under the front drivers seat, in the spare tire wheel well or even on a board on the back t-top shelf will work. If you do, however, choose the rear shelf make sure to have the neat 3rdgen hatch window shade to cover your ass.

I installed my amps on the shelf and had no problem with t- top storage on top. I wish I would have taken pictures. After I upgraded to a fourthgen, I removed the rear spare and custom fabricated an amp board to fit there. I've got a 4 channel and my sub amp and you'd never know the difference. Yeah, removing the spare tire was kinda stupid, but I've got 17's and a 1.5 " lowering kit, the spare wouldn't have helped. :)

Disable the inside hatch release for the rear hatch. If someone does break in, they're not getting anything out of that hatch without opening it. Make sure you take the time to take out your seats and run wires properly. Not only will this look great, would be thieves won't be able to see any after market stuff. I'll post pics of my install tomorrow.

oh...honda.

Well, the trunk disable still applies. You can actually make a pretty cool amp board on the right or left hand side of that trunk also. My ex's car had the notch on the left hand side, we put a small 4 channel and made a piece of wood to fit seamlessly over the hole. Carpet the wood, secure, presto....hidden amp.
