I just finished ripping my engine down to the small block, the engine is beautiful, you can still see the crosshairs in the cylinders.
One problem, one of the cylinders got water in it and rusted. How hard is it to line hone the cylinders? How do you do it.

Oh I also found out that they aren't the original flat top pistons, they are concaved for the whole interior of the piston, anyone know what type of piston this is and if there is anyway to find out compression. Thank you, cotterpin.

those would be dished pistons.

They're dished and they have arround 8.5 or so compression, in most cases. As for honing, just get a hone, a drill and have at. If it's more than you can knock off the surface, then unfortunately you'll have to overbore it and get another set of pistons.

not really. their good for lowering your compression ratio.
