i have been through two already on warranty alone, using 4 sony explode speakers all with rms <90w... i was reeled in by the rated specs of 111w rms x 4ch @ 14.4v @ 4ohms ... well i never had the damn thing past half power on the front and rear channels, and it took a dive...
the first one i got didnt even work, and to tell you something else, they dont even repair this amp under warranty; they just replace it! which tells me that they know its a piece and continue to sell it anyways.

yeah...infinity has been on a slow decline for awhile. I'm sure that the Sony speakers didn't help though. I'm surprised they didn't catch fire! :eek:

never had the amp turned up to anything past half its supposed power...

That's good...what gauge of wire are you running to it? Specs...RMS, Ohm load, etc...

to power the amp: 8 gauge
to power the speakers: 16 gauge
6x9 3 ways: Peak Power Handling: 240 Watts - RMS 80 watts
6.5 3 ways: Peak Power Handling: 220 Watts - rms 70 watts
amp specs
111 watts RMS x 4 channel at 4 ohms and ¡Ü 1% THD + N 278 watts RMS x 2 channel at 4 ohms, 14.4V supply and ¡Ü 1% THD + N

running monster rca for both front and rear
from the battery: 4 gauge to a monster 100 amp breaker to a scosche 4/8/8 distribution block then 8 to the amps
the other amp being a kenwood 2 channel 800 watt amp
